Chachi 420 & Mrs. Doubtfire (8/10)

Kamal Hassan tried to fill the shoes of Robin Willaims in the Bollywood version of the Hollywood comedy, and as surprising as it maybe, he did a splendid job. There was a little twist to the story as well, whereby the India version just had a single child and the romance of the parents also travelled at a different level. Although there is no denying that the Bollywood directors took a lot of inspiration from Hollywood, the remake did justice to the old story. The top of the charts performance of Chachi 420 is a proof of that itself.
